Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 11

[Mayumi Villanueva]

I watched as Arthur Kirkland fought with Francis Bonnefoy.

Arthur was wearing his usual cotton tan vest and white button-up shirt. His royal blue tie was tucked under his tan vest, which matched his royal blue dress pants. His blond hair was as messy as ever, his emerald shade of eyes shone in anger.

Francis Bonnefoy was wearing a similar to Arthur’s, with the vest replaced by a buttoned blue suit jacket. His shoulder length wavy hair was tied with a royal blue ribbon, his violet eyes shining with malice and arrogance.

This was a daily occurrence.

I then eyed a couple over near the bookshelves. Alfred Jones and Kate Williams.

Kate was sitting in one of the Chaise lounge, trying to read a book that was placed on her lap. Her long blond hair reached her waist and tied in two low ponytails, her bangs held in place by various red hair clips. She was blushing red and tried not to faint, as she was very shy and faint-hearted. She wore a red plaid skirt that reached from above her waist to mid-thigh, red suspenders with several various hair clips. She wore a long sleeve white button up under that, her black tie matching her black shoes.

Alfred was wearing something like Francis, his suit jacket un-buttoned. He had messy blond hair, but not as messy as Arthur’s, and wire-rimmed glasses over his blue-violet eyes. He hovered behind Kate, trying to hold a conversation with the blushing and stuttering Canadian girl.

I giggled at this. It was so obvious that Alfred liked the girl and vice versa.

I directed my attention to the two girls at the window sill.

Leilani Jones and Alyssa Jones wore similar outfits.

Alyssa Jones wore a red plaid skirt that reached from above her waist to mid-thigh, red suspenders included with several buttons with different logos. She wore a shoulder length white button up under that, her black tie matching her black shoes. She wore knee-high socks and a red ribbon in her light brown hair. Her light brown eyes filled with concern as she looked at her sister.

Leilani Jones wore the same thing, her sleeves a few inches longer and her suspenders free of anything. She had a black band covering part of her forearm. She wore a red hibiscus near the base of her ponytail, her black hair reaching mid-back. She sat on the window sill, her back resting on the window pane, as she looked out at the gloomy bleak and dreary scenery outside. She seemed to have a forlorn look in her dark blue eyes, she seemed to be missing someone.

“Dia Duit! What are you doin’, cailín?” I heard a familiar British accented voice call.

I chuckled “My name isn’t cailín, Andrea” I replied.

She shrugged “Eh? So?”

I giggled at this as my sister, Malaya Villanueva, shook her head.

Andrea O’Connor hated the uniforms we were forced to wear and wore a mixture of the girl and the boy uniforms, which aggravated her brother who was Arthur. She wore a completely black skirt that ended mid-thigh and a white button up. She then wore a blue suit jacket, claiming to hate the girl version which was pink (I tell her it comes in red, but she never seems to listen). For footwear, she wore knee-highs and blue converse with black splatters. For her hair, she wore her usual waist long orange hair in a high pony tail, her bangs out of the way with the help of a clip on the top of her head.

My sister, older than me by a few months, wore something similar. But she was lacking the suit jacket and she wore black suspenders, which was free of anything. Her hair was in an intricate French braid, done by Francis of course. She wore black combat boots and under her skirt, she wore black leggings.

I wore a simple outfit. The red plaid skirt, without suspenders, and the shoulder-length white button up with the vest. I then had red elbow-length fingerless gloves on. Then came my black knee-high converse. I wore a chain on one side of my skirt, the chain reaching a bit below my skirt.

I looked at my sister once again as she held up her whiteboard, on it scribbled ‘You guys are weird’

I just laughed. My sister was scared of talking because she’s scared of saying the wrong things. I mean, she could write the wrong things too. But I didn’t tell want to tell her that.

Andrea looked at me suspiciously “You thinkin’ of the Italian, eh?”

A pink hue started to appear on my face “Wh-What Italian?”

My sister chuckled and Andrea smirked “Your boyfriend of course!”

“He is not my boyfriend!” I playfully hit Andrea’s shoulder. I then silently added “Although I wish he was”

My sister giggled as Andrea pointed at me accusingly “You jus’ said ‘Although I wish he was!’”

“Although I wish he was here! That’s what I meant!” I cried.

Suddenly the door slammed open, gaining everyone’s attention.

“Ah! Grande Fratello! Li ho trovati!”

I immediately look at my sister, who was blushing and grinning like and idiot.

Suddenly, Romano appeared beside his brother “Oi! Non si può semplicemente scoppiato in una stanza, idiota!”

My heart seemed to stop.

He looked at me and I gave a slight smile. He just huffed and he looked away, calling for someone down the hallway.

I guess we were still fighting.

Gilbert, Ludwig, Kiku, Feli, Roma, Antonio, and a girl I’ve never met came in the room. The new girl seemed to stick near Gilbert more, seemingly shy. But she also seemed to be debating on if she should stick to Gilbert or Romano, since she kept on looking back and forth.

Maybe it was Alfred’s chainsaw?

Wait, did I mention Alfred had a chainsaw?

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 10

[Isabella de la Cruz]

“So where are we going to now? You found the Puella and all, so?” I asked, munching on a piece of a pancake
“Vell, now ve have to find more Quadrigis members, Ja?” Gilbert answered in a ‘well-duh’ voice, his mouth full of... pancake?
I nodded and took another bite of the pancake “Where are we going to find other creatures though?”
Gilbert and Toni seemed to have an idea, their eyes widening
“Francis Bonnefoy!” The duo said in unison
“Who?” I wondered out loud
“Ja. Francis is zeir friend. Zey alvays make trouble togezer” Ludwig sighed.
“Ja! Ja! Francis is avesome!” Gilbert added but then muttered “But not as avesome as me...”
I sighed. I tried to fathom how much trouble they might make.  We needed more members...
“How many more members to we need anyway?”
Feli started counting with his fingers. After a long pause he answered “Ve~! I think it’s-a 6?”
Roma hit him upside the head “Ventiquattro togliere sette è sei? Sei stupido?”
I giggled. Roma was right though! What he said, loosely translated, was ‘twenty-four take away seven is six? Are you stupid?’
Roma huffed, a small blush covering his cheeks “So we need-a 17 more members for our-a Quadrigis...”
I nodded for the hundreth time that day “How many creatures are with this Francis dude?”
Kiku’s eyes widened this time “Arfred and Arthur are with him, that I know of that is...”
“And?”
Feli and Roma looked up at the same time and uttered in unison “There’s-a also that-a Canadian”
I quirked an eyebrow “A Canadian?”
Roma nodded “Sí! A Canadian and his-a sister”
“I-a think her name’s-a Kate Williams?” Feli added, trying to be helpful
I tilted my head to the side “And the guy’s name?”
Feli and Roma shrugged
“Of course you remember the girl’s name! But you don’t remember the guy’s?”
“There is arso Reirani Jones and Aryssa Jones, Arfred’s sisters!” Kiku interjected
I huffed “And you don’t remember the GUY’S name?”
“Ah! It vas Matzew Villiams!” Gilbert blurted
“Matthew Williams?”
He nodded “I remember now because I alvays mistook him for his step-bruder...” He sighed “I hated zat bastard Alfred!”
“Und zere is Arzur’s step-sister, Andrea O’Connor” Ludwig mentioned
I nodded, again for the hundreth time that day
“So Francis Bonnefoy, Arthur Kirkland, Andrea O’Connor, Alfred Jones, Leilani Jones, Alyssa
Jones, Matthew Williams and Kate Williams” I counted all the names out loud “8”
Then Roma blurted “There’s-a Mayumi!”
“Sí! And Malaya too!” Feli nodded
I furrowed my eyebrows “That’s 10”
“Zat leaves 7 people left!” Gilbert rejoiced “So... Ve are going to go get Francis, right?”
Ludwig hesitantly nodded. Gilbert and Toni hi-fived
“Immature Morons” Roma muttered. I giggled.
Meeting adjourned!

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 9

[Isabella de la Cruz]

I thought about what might happen, the consequences, when I opened my eyes.
1. All of it might not be real
2. I’m crazy
3. I’m not dreaming and it was all real
4. I hallucinated all of it
2 and 4 was a bit frightening. I was shooting for 3 though, even if I was sharing the bed with someone. I’d just whack ‘em in the head. 1 didn’t want one either, but it was still better than 2 and 4.
I hesitantly opened my eyes and, seeing all white, I panicked.
I was about to jump out of bed when a voice startled me “Guten Morgen, Lieben”
I looked up and my eyes met red ones, a smirk plastered on his face like always.
I tried to push him off the bed.
Almost.
When I tried to, he just stayed put while it backfired on me.
He chuckled as I fell and I blindly threw a pillow at him from the floor.
“Miss, Lieben” The smirk apparent in his voice.
I sat up and rested my chin on the bed “Did everything that...?”
Gilbert nodded “Ja, vouldn’t be here if it didn’t.”
I nodded “So I’m really...?”
“Ja, Just accept it already, jeez...” Gilbert shrugged
“I guess I should...”
“So you do?”
I nodded as he smirked once more “Brav! Und Bruder said I couldn’t convince you...”
I quirked an eyebrow up “Wha...?”
As if on cue everyone came in the door, including Ludwig who had an angry look in his face and Roma who was also peeved.
“Vhat’s viz all ze racket?” Ludwig inquired
Feli pouted as he also complained “Sí! Mio Fratello and I were-a having a siesta!”
Roma sighed but nodded as well.
I pointed at Gilbert, accusing him of the crime “It was all him!”
Gilbert gaped at me “Wha-! Nein! She vas ze one zat fell of ze bed!”
“He pushed me!”
“Nein! Hell no! I did not!”
“And he woke me up too!”
“NEIN! VHAT ZE HELL?”
Antonio started chuckling and so did Feli and I started too, soon everyone was LMAO-ing. Even
Ludwig had on a small smile and Roma was grinning.
I guess it was pretty hilarious.

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 8

[Gilbert Beillshmidt]

I chuckled as I watched Isabella stomp out of the room, her cheeks a bright red.
“Mi amigo! How come you like teasing de señorita?” Toni raised an eyebrow.
“It’s just fun, ya’ know?” I answered, placing myself on the floor right by him.
“I dink jou like de señorita!” He exclaimed.
“Hell no! Nein!” I denied
Toni shook his head at me “Jou do! Jou do! I can totally tell! Jou like de señorita! Jou love her!” He teased “Hay amor en el aire!”
I knew that last statement meant ‘Love is in the air’ in Spanish. He’s said it before. “You said zat about Andrea O’ Connor! Und Leilani Jones, Alfred’s sister! Und about Maya Auerbach! Und Angela Fernandes—”
“I didn’t say dat about Angela! Ella es mía!”
I nodded, rolling my eyes “Fein! How about Malaya Villanueva und her sister Mayumi?”
“I would never say dat either! Romano is crushing on Mayumi and Feliciano is trying to woo Malaya!”
I nodded “ Zere is still Andrea O’ Connor, Leilani Jones und Maya Auerbach!”
Toni shook his head. He then evaluated the facts. Andrea O’ Connor was in love with Arthur Kirkland and vice versa. Kiku had asked Toni about Leilani Jones, who she liked and that kind of stuff, so basically Kiku loved her. Maya Auerbach was, even though she claims to hate him, in  love with my brother and vice versa too. Both me and Toni knew that!
Toni claims to have never said anything I accused him of saying.
“Fein! Fein! You never said any of ze zings I accused! But I still don’t like her zat way!” I dissagreed.
Toni, shaking his head, muttering “¡Sí! ¡Sí! Lo que tú digas!”
I smirked.
Then my Brother muttered something “Ve all zink zat you’re in love viz her, by ze vay...”
I groaned “Zat’s Dumm! I do not! How many times do I have to say zat?!”
“Sono d'accordo con idiota...” Romano muttered loud enough for all of us to hear. I just presumed that he agreed with me
Feliciano just chirped “No! No! It’s-a so obvious!”
Everyone nodded, even Kiku.
“Gah! I am not in love viz zat Puella! She is ze Puella!”
Toni patted my back “Jou keep telling jourself dat...”

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 7

[Isabella de la Cruz]

I grinned before a thought crossed my head and my grin slowly disappeared “Why are you all telling me this? I’m just a Mundane girl...!”
Gilbert chuckled as everyone else had a look of confusion cross their faces.
“She doesn’t know yet” Gilbert simply stated.  A mix of relief and realization swept through the room, excluding Roma and Feli.
I was even more confused “W-What?”
Roma then shook his head “Didn’t your Nonna teach you anything, amore?”
I shook my head “I only found out all of this because of you guys...”
Even more confusion appeared on Roma’s face.
“But, bella signora, your Nonna is supposed to-a teach you stuff like that!” Feli whined
“My Nonna, Gramama, didn’t teach me anything other than where to go if the quadruple Ouroboros came, the four snakes eating each others tails...! That and the fact that Lower Earth, Middle Earth and Upper Earth existed!” I defended my Gramama
“Bruder! Habt ihr Großmutter wissen?” Ludwig then asked his brother.
Gilbert shook his head, a small frown appearing on his face “Nein ... Ihre Großmutter nicht wusste! Ich dachte immer, sie dachte, ich wäre eine Katze”
They were talking about my a Gramama, that was all I could understand. Something about Gilbert being a cat and if Gramama knew something, I didn’t understand German as well as Italian.
“What the hell are you-a saying!? We deserve to know, don’t we!? Look how-a worried you made the bella signora!” Roma pointed out.
I didn’t even realize that I looked so worried till Gilbert said ‘Es tut mir leid’ which was German for I‘m sorry.
“Nah! It’s okay! If you’re talking in German that means you don’t want us to know! I get that you guys need privacy! It’s alright!” I shrugged it off.
Gilbert’s smirk quickly settled back in place as I was talking. I saw that as a positive thing, since that smirk is one of the things that makes Gilbert, well, Gilbert!
“¡Sí! I agree with Isabella! If you need privacy, go right ahead and talk German!” Antonio agreed
Kiku made a small nod and Feli uttered a ‘Sí!’, meaning they agreed. Roma just looked away from us, his blush deepening in shade.
Gilbert looked at his brother then shook his head “Nein, you guys have ze right to know vhat ve are talking about.” Then he looked at me, smirking, and continued “Especially you, Lieben, since we are talking about your Großmutter!”
I nodded.
“Vell, Ve vere just talking about how veird it vas zat Isabella’s Großmutter didn’t know zat mein Bruder vas a Canale Taberus, much less a creature. She vas supposed to. Und it’s also veird zat she didn’t tell you vat you are...” Ludwig explained
I was just more confused “What am I then...?”
Gilbert smirked “Ze Puella, Regina Puella”
I shook my head rapidly “I can’t be anything other than a normal Mundane being! I have nothing extraordinary about me!”
“That’s-a because you don’t have-a the Aurea with you!” Roma corrected
I shook my head and opened my mouth to say something but Gilbert interrupted me “You are ze Regina Puella und I have proof.”
I looked at him expectantly.
“You’ve vished on a vishing star und ze next day it came true.”
“That’s stupid!”
“Ze vishing star vas a painted star on your old room vall.” Gilbert smirked
I shook my head “So!? Does the Puella have the power to grant wishes!?”
Everyone muttered yes in their language all in unison.
“Then why didn’t it work a few hours ago, when I was wishing for Gramama to come down into the Asylum?!” I countered
“You’re missing your Aurea.” Gilbert’s smirked visibly grew.
I looked at everyone “Aurea...?” My voice slowly dissipated towards the end of the statement and
became more of a question instead of a regular statement.
“Sí! Sí! A beautiful necklace-a made of enchanted gold and-a charmed silver! E 'davvero bella!” Feli chirped, his last sentence being ‘It’s really pretty’ in Italian.
I nodded, less confused and a tad bit more comfortable “What does it exactly do? And why do I need it?”
Antonio cleared his throat, attracting our attention. He then clarified that the Aurea was the only thing of it’s kind and that it could grant any wish and become anything you want it to become. The catch was that only my species, the Puella, could manipulate it.
Antonio’s accent was very funny seeing as he couldn’t say the letter ‘y’ and said ‘j’ instead. Same with the letters ‘th’. He pronounced it as ‘d’
It seemed reasonable, but there was another catch
“Jou are de only Puella left, seeing as dere is only one Puella every cinco o seis generations...” Antonio stated casually. ‘cinco o seis’ meaning five or six in Spanish.
I shook my head rapidly before resting my face in my palms, my elbows resting on my legs.
I tried to take it all in. The accents, the creatures, the information, the changes it was going to bring.
Everything they just told me.
“Lieben...” I heard a voice next to my ear, a hand on my shoulder. Gilbert’s probably trying to comfort me.
It wasn’t working
“You suck at trying to make people feel better...” I mumbled into my hands as everyone chuckled, probably excluding Ludwig.
I then fell back onto my back, my hands spreading to my sides “Can I try to grasp this overnight?”
Everyone droned out a small yes or a sure in their own language.
I smiled a little before getting up and heading to the door “You guys decide the lodging!” Then I paused and added, sarcastically “But I get first pick, since I am the ‘Puella’!”
I almost got to the other side of the door when Ludwig stopped me “Gilbert has to sleep vith you zough!”
I peeked back into the room, my cheeks probably red “Wh-Wh-What?!”
“Vhat Bruder meant vas zat I have to sleep in ze same room as you.” Gilbert shrugged, as if it happened to him all the time.
I groaned “Why?!”
“Safety reasons, I guess.” He smirked even more.
“Fine!” I whined before stomping off.
‘I will find a way to NOT share a room with him’ I thought as I felt my face heat up even more.

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 6

[Isabella de la Cruz]
“So...” I trailed off then quickly added “You guys haven’t told me what species you are!”

Gilbert was about to say something when I quickly added “And it would be very unfair if you made me guess! Because I don’t know much about species...”

Roma then sighed “I’m-a Vespertilionem, amore.”

I blushed. What did ‘amore’ mean!?

“Eh? Really?” I asked, tilting my head to the side in confusion, looking at Roma. I only knew that Vespertillionem were Catholics and Christians.

He must have seen my confused face because he evaluated “Vampires  are-a Mundane versions of my specie...” He tried to explain, a dust of pink appearing over his face. He couldn’t seem to find the
right words “The special things about Vesper are... They can-a turn into bats and shadows, they can control shadows, they are-a very talented in potion making, as well as-a cooking, and they have a knack of-a imitating voices...” then Roma added “The Tomato-bastard, Antonio, is a Vespertilionem too”

I was astounded! Vespertilionem were cool! And his nickname for Antonio is funny...

“So... Gilbert and Ludwig! What specie are you guys?” I casually asked.

“Ve are Canale Taberus!” Gilbert smirked.

“Canale Taberus aren’t really zat special...” Ludwig mumbled then added “But ve have very fast
agility and ve can turn into cats, as you’ve already experienced...”

I saw Gilbert’s smirk widen at the statement. I just rolled my eyes.

I then looked at Kiku.

“I am a Pretium Volpes” Kiku simply stated, his face completely neutral. “I can control shadows and
preform certain sperrs”

“What about you Feli?” I inquired

“Ve~! I'm-a Lupinotuum, bella! Lupinotuum are really cool! They’re like-a werewolves, but we completely turn into wolves! Not half-wolf half-man people!” Feli cheered. He seemed proud of his specie

But Roma seemed to have a hatred to his brother and ruined his parade “Don’t forget the fact that your species are also cowardly and stupid... And with the fact that your specie is only strong when not necessary, like with hugs and high-fives...” He grumbled

Feli’s cheerful and happy demeanor seemed to vanish completely and he started crying
“VE~! Fratello! Non dire così! Sei così dire! Si suppone che tu sia mio fratello maggiore!” Feli whined in Italian, very loudly, and started hugging Roma. The translation was something like, I think, about Roma being mean and how Roma is supposed to be his big brother...

“Gah! Non andare gay su di me! È stupido idiota!” Roma tried to pry Feli away from him. It wasn’t working, not one bit. This translation was a bit funnier! It was something about Feli being gay on him and how Feli was a ‘stupid idiot’!

“Guys!” I tried to interfere.

Feli just uttered a loud ‘VE’ an Roma a loud ‘Chigi! Idiota...’

“I-I think that every specie is special on their own, so you guys shouldn’t fight” I reprimanded.

“Mi Dispiace, Bella Signora...” Feli pouted, his eyes full of remorse.

“Sí... Mi Dispiace, amore...” Roma muttered.

Fairytale Gone Bad: Chapter 5

[Isabella de la Cruz]

“Ve~! Bella! Meet Mio Fratello, Lovino Vargas!” Feli chirped, pointing to a look-alike of him

“Ciao...” He mumbled.

He was a short messy haired brunette, his hair a darker shade than his brother’s. He had a similar outfit as his brother’s as well, with the exception of the royal blue jacket and the royal blue tie. He didn’t have both on. His emerald eyes seemed to show boredom and irritation. I could tell that he was one of those grumpy type people. I also noticed that he had nothing about him that’s ‘creature-like’

“Why so grumpy? Were you forced to come?” I tried not to giggle

A small blush appeared over his cheeks as he answered “Sí...”

“Well, My name’s Isabella! Isabella de la Cruz!” I held out my hand

“Il mio nome é Lovino Vargas” He looked away from me, his blush darkening by a bit “Ma alcune persone mi chiamano Romano...”

“Doesn’t that mean...” I hesitated a bit, biting my lower lip “Your name... is Lovino Vargas and most people... eh... call you Romano? ”

“Sí, Do you know how to-a speak Italiano?” He wondered

I shook my head ‘no’ “I don’t but my Fratello does! He’s Multilingual! I just pick up tid-bits here and there... I wish I could speak Italian though, Roma... My brother mostly speaks Italian! I can just translate, can’t actually speak it.”

I then turned to the other one that entered the room.

“Who’re you?” I tilted my head to the side in curiosity. I then added, lifting my hand up for him to shake “As I said, my name’s Isabella de la Cruz”

“Mi nombre es Antonio Fernández Carriedo, Mi Querida” He answered my question. He then took my hand, lift it up to his face and kissed my knuckles.

He had hair that was almost the same shade as Roma’s, his outfit the same as his too. He also had green eyes but he was taller and, I presumed, older. He had a grin plastered across his face, cheerful and seemingly innocent.

I blushed and took my hand away ‘Mi nombre es Antonio Fernández Carriedo, Mi Querida’ meant My name is Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, my dear.

I most certainly was not his dear.

“I-I see” I stuttered, trying to contain my anger

I then proceeded to sit where I was before. Romano then followed, sitting next to me.

Everybody was where they were, with the exception of Gilbert. He high-fived Antonio then he leaned on the wall next to the spot he used to sit. I knew this because Antonio sat cross-legged on the floor where he used to be.
